Math in Motion

We decided to create math games in a completely new tool - Genially. We tried a number of templates and created an Escape room for students from a neighboring school. We had fun and learned to work in a new digital tool. The best was the finale in the form of an online meeting between our students and teachers.  Students from Elementary School Visoka spent the day at the Project Day. They were on the Marjan hill in Split and could not come to the online meeting. Teacher Marica Brzica spoke on their behalf, praising the project and all the activities. She expressed the desire of the students to participate in the project again.

The final activity of this project, Math and Games, was like the icing on the cake. It was fun and exciting to connect math with games. We solved puzzles and created wonderful pictures of nature and landscapes. We had to solve tasks with fractions, and then place the right puzzle pieces in the correct spots. After that, we solved equations with rational numbers. Whoever had the right solution received a token. This led to a real race and excitement to see who could collect the most tokens. The students were very motivated to solve the tasks. There was a great competition in collecting tokens. In this way, they solved many equations.
